2013 UNI Luncheon
UNI Reception for 2013 Bright Scholars
All five of the 2013 UNI Bright Scholars of Iowa enjoyed a fall luncheon along with several parents and grandparents. Special guest was Judy Ruud, wife of UNI President William Ruud. Also in attendance was Brenda Bass, Interim Dean, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences; Mary Herring, Associate Dean, College of Education; Joel Haack, Dean, College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences; Farzad Moussavi, Dean, College of Business Administration; Bill Calhoun, Vice-President for University Advancement; and Joyce Morrow, Director, Financial Aid & Scholarships.
2012 UNI Bright Scholar Garrett Miller shared with the new Scholars his campus experiences during his first year. 2013 Bright Scholar Bailey St. Clair spoke of her first month on the UNI campus. Thanking the Bright Foundation for the financial support the Bright Scholarship provides was freshman student Jesse Sorenson.
Also in attendance and enjoying the opportunity to meet the new Scholars were Bob Fanter and Wes Ritchie, directors of the Bright Foundation. Bob thanked all of those attending and shared insights and history of the Foundation.
